FOUNDED : 11th September, 1904.
REGISTRATION of Trust : S-125 under Society s Act XXI of 1860 & F-7 under Maharashtra Public Trust Act, 1950.
OBJECTIVES : To render assistance and encouragements through Free Scholarships grants as well as other means, to deserving needy students of the N.K.G.S.B Smarth community of the Kavale Math hailing from North Kanara origin in all branches of Education, Instruction and Training whether in India or Abroad.
COMMITTEE : Chairman & eight members are elected for the term of 3 years. The Committee co-opts 2 members.
MEMBERS : Persons of N.K.G.S.B Smarth Community of the Kavale Math above the age of 18 years are eligible. Life Member-Rs.1000/- (In one Lumpsum)
ENDOWMENTS : Donations/Endowments, above Rs.50,000/-are considered as Endowments from the Donors in the name of/in memory of parents or relatives and added to the Society s Corpus Funds.
- General Assistance Fund : To grant Free Scholarships.
- Memorial Scholarship Fund : To grant free scholarships in memory of person/s desired by the donor.
- Memorial Prize Fund : Merit Prizes are awarded to students for Academic excellence as per Donor's wishes.
- Centenary Education Fund : To grant Free Scholarships in studies in Information Technology & Biotechnology, etc.
Donations / Endowments of Rs.50, 000/- and above are treated as SPECIAL ENDOWMENTS in respective funds and the names of the donors are published separately in Society s Annual Report every year.
